Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Colorado requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and CO or compact RN licensure. The role features 12-hour night shifts and uses EPIC EMR to care for critically ill patients.

Ideal candidates hold BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and TCAR experience; PALS and EPIC familiarity are a plus. Vaccination or approved declination is required to be considered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Experience with tele interpretation, ventilators, high-frequency ventilators/oscillators, dialysis, ICP monitoring, and IV insertion.
• TCAR experience required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination card or approved declination required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting.
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week.
• 13-week assignment length.
• No on-call requirements.
• Uses EPIC EMR.
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and life support interventions.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers with no radius restrictions.
• Previous travelers welcome to apply.
• Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 90 days before returning as a traveler.
