Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a California license to provide critical care in a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of ICU experience and prior travel nursing history, with proficiency in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, IV therapy, and blood product administration. You will work night shifts (3x12 hours) and may float to SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg units.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS.
• Minimum 4 years ICU experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Proficiency in critical care skills including IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring.
• Experience with blood product administration, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ABG interpretation.
• Experience managing respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, and neurological critical care cases.
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting.
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Required to float to ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg units
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients, including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for local candidate rate
• Former employees must have a one-year separation period before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position due to travel experience requirement
