Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an ICU registered nurse for a night-shift assignment in California. The ideal candidate holds an active CA RN license and has at least two years of ICU experience, plus BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities include caring for ICU patients, maintaining a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, and using the Epic charting system. Travel-ready nurses with trauma exposure are welcome; extensive line management and cardiac care experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS.
• MAB Training required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Experience with IV therapy and line management.
• Ventilator management and ABG interpretation.
• Cardiac drip titration experience.
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management preferred.
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care across the full nursing process for ICU patients of varying ages, cultures, and conditions.
• Demonstrate leadership on the unit and participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences.
• Serve as a patient advocate and collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams on care planning.

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring CA RN licensure and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS
• MAB Training required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Experience with cardiac drip titration and vasoactive drip titration
• Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
