Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and specialized cardiac and critical care skills.

Details

Medical Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital
Every other weekend required, with flexibility based on staffing needs or traveler preference
No call requirements
Floating required between ICU and Telemetry units
Meditech EMR experience strongly preferred, but ability to quickly learn is acceptable

Requirements

Active MO or Compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
Prior travel experience required
At least 2 years of ICU experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required for first-time travelers
Impella and balloon pump experience required
Skilled in stroke care and STEMI management
Proficient in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning
Experience with arterial line and central line management
Skilled in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
Experience with continuous IV sedation and emergency medications
Knowledge of CVA/acute stroke management and dysrhythmia interpretation and treatment
Experience with IV insulin protocols and blood product administration
Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients, including those requiring advanced cardiac and respiratory support
Navy blue scrubs required for this unit
Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
First-time travelers considered if minimum experience requirements are met
Mile radius rule applies for eligibility
