Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment in Texas. You will handle night shifts and manage complex critical care patients in a 10-bed ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio and Epic EMR experience.

Active TX license with BLS/ACLS is required; NIHSS/TNCC preferred. Travel nursing and teaching hospital experience are valued, with strong IV, arterial/central line, and ventilator skills.

Qualifications

Active TX or compact RN license required at time of submission.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred.
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred.
Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
Teaching and community hospital experience preferred.
Skilled in IV therapy, arterial and central line management, PICC line care, and blood product administration.
Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and chest tube assistance.
Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV sedation, and IV insulin protocols.
Knowledge of CVA/stroke management and multisystem organ dysfunction care.
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization and Swan Ganz monitoring.
Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management.

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
