Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced Cardiac ICU RN for a 3x12-hr night shift travel assignment in Indiana. Ideal candidates have critical care background and must pass EKG competency testing. Start is Oct 5, 2026, for 13 weeks with a 36-hour weekly schedule and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shifts.

Active IN or Compact RN license, BLS and ACLS, and 2–3 years of CCU experience are required, including ventilator management. Every other weekend work is expected.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2-3 years of recent critical care experience required, including ventilator management with RT support and titratable vasoactive drips.
• EKG competency testing required as part of consideration, with up to 2 attempts allowed.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CCU (Cardiac Critical Care) unit on the 3rd floor of a hospital.
• 16-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity.
• Provide care for post-cath STEMIs, NSTEMIs, direct admits, and medical ICU overflow.

• Utilizes ventilators, Arctic Sun, temporary pacemakers, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• First to float with low census

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2-3 years of recent critical care experience required, including ventilator management with RT support and titratable vasoactive drips
• EKG competency testing required as part of consideration, with up to 2 attempts allowed
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiac patients including STEMI and NSTEMI cases
• Parking available in designated employee spaces near the heart center, emergency room, and main entrance
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a reduced bill rate

The $2,091 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
