Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift float position in South Carolina. The ideal candidate holds an active SC or compact RN license and 3+ years of ICU experience, with BLS and ACLS certifications already in hand.

Position involves 3x12 hour nights, floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliates, with every-other-weekend shifts and on-call requirements. Local candidates within 50 miles receive local rate; travelers welcome.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (SC or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Copy of certifications required for consideration
• Two supervisory references required

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• On-call requirement of 2 shifts every 4 weeks
• Float required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients with floating responsibilities as needed
• Minimize time off requests, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full weeks off during the contract
• Any time-off requests must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment
• Expect to work some holidays
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from employment for at least 5 years to be eligible as a traveler
