Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy RN with strong IV skills and at least 2 years of GI/Endoscopy experience. The role requires weekend and on-call coverage within a VA region, using EPIC and EndoWorks EMR systems.

Active VA or compact RN license, BLS (AHA) and ACLS are required. Expect shifts 07:00–17:30, with 4 days per week and on-call responsibilities including weekend calls.

Qualifications

• No floating; on-call 1–2 times/week, including weekend calls.
• Use EPIC and EndoWorks EMR systems.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy RN with strong IV skills and at least 2 years of experience for a role requiring weekend and on-call coverage.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Work in a GI/Endoscopy unit handling approximately 25 procedures per day (75% outpatient, 25% inpatient)
• Shifts scheduled 0700-1730 with variable days, 4 shifts per week
• No floating required
• On-call required 1-2 times per week, including self-scheduled weekend call (10-hour shifts Saturday and Sunday) and 2 hours on weekdays
• Weekend and holiday coverage handled through the on-call rotation
• Uses EPIC and EndoWorks EMR systems
• One week of floor orientation provided
• Dress code requires navy blue pants with solid navy blue or white tops, and solid navy blue or white jackets
• Facility may cancel up to 2 shifts per 12-week assignment or 3 shifts per 13-week assignment without penalty
