Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in Oklahoma City. Requires at least 1 year of nursing experience, active OK RN license (or eNLC), BLS and ACLS certifications. Day shifts: 7am–5:30pm, 10-hour shifts, four days per week with scheduled days off and 2–3 call days monthly.

Credentialing deadlines are strict and there is no start-date flexibility. Benefits include housing allowance, travel/licensure reimbursements, and weekly payroll.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in OK or multi-state compact (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the Advanced Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting
• Assist physicians with minor diagnostic procedures and treatments for endoscopy patients
• Day shift schedule, 7am-5:30pm, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Set day off each week
• Call required 2-3 days per month
• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Document nursing interventions and treatment responses
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans and procedures with patients and families, including at discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius for eligibility
• Credentialing deadlines are strict with no start date flexibility
• 30-day written notice to cancel or end assignment
