Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ED RN for a night shift assignment in Massachusetts. The role requires an active MA RN license and 2 years of combined pediatric and adult ED experience for triage coverage. Certifications BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required, with NIHSS preferred.

Epic EMR experience is strongly preferred. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts weekly, with start times around 3:00 AM and potential early/late shifts.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including pediatric and adult ED for triage coverage
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Two professional references, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pediatric Emergency Department, including coverage for combined Adult/Pediatric ED triage
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week starting at 3:00 AM
• Shift start time flexibility up to four hours earlier or later based on department need
• Requires every other weekend and holiday coverage
• 36 hours per week assignment
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
• Performs cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Provides pediatric IV skills and respiratory care, including care of ventilated patients
• Triage responsibilities across combined adult and pediatric ED settings
• Must complete a Pass/Fail Tele test and Medication exam during orientation with limited attempts to pass
• Union facility schedule with no special scheduling accommodations; must be available to work all 7 days
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Candidates must reside within 200 miles for consideration
• 12-month separation required for returning staff to this health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
