Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring WI or Compact RN license and adult/pediatric ED experience.

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (1830-0700) with weekend rotation and holiday coverage. Floating as needed; Cerner charting preferred. Ideal candidates have 5+ years ER experience and be within 50 miles of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active WI RN or Compact RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only required); NIHSS and TNCC preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years.
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors.
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, and triage.
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined adult/pediatric general Emergency Department.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 1830-0700.
• Weekend rotation required with every other holiday coverage.
• Floating required as needed.
• Cerner charting system experience preferred.
• Provide emergency nursing care across the full spectrum of adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response interventions.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position.
• Free onsite parking available.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of ER experience.
