Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Emergency Department travel assignment at a Level 1 trauma children's hospital in Missouri.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in pediatric ED, active MO or compact license, required certifications, and prior travel nurse experience. Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, with competitive pay, housing allowance, and reimbursements.

Qualifications

Active MO or compact RN license is required.
Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric ED experience.
Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, ENPC, TNCC or ATLS are required.
Prior travel RN experience is required.
Pediatric ED experience is required.

Responsibilities

Pediatric Emergency Department within a Children's Acute Care Teaching Hospital.
Level 1 trauma center performing conscious sedation in the unit.
Unit has 32 staffed beds; facility has 455 total beds.
Patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1.
Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts (3x12s: 7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30).
Every other weekend required.
On-call required for ED RNs.
Uses EPIC charting system.
Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric patients, including conscious sedation support.
Scrub color is flexible or facility-branded St. Louis Children's Hospital attire may be worn.
Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved.
Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO permitted during the first week.
Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility.
Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
Standard travelers may work up to an 18-month period, followed by a required 3-month break in service.
First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
