Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Pediatric Emergency Department duties in Colorado. This 13-week assignment requires 1 year of Pediatric ED experience and multiple specialty certifications.

You will work in a 23-bed unit with a team of about 45 staff, with day and night shifts and patient ratios up to 5:1 during surge. Travel, housing support, and licensure reimbursement are provided.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of current Pediatric ED RN experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC).
• CEN and CPEN certifications preferred.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pediatric Emergency Department of a hospital setting.
• 23-bed unit with a team of approximately 45 staff members.
• Day shift staffed with 4 RNs, 1 charge nurse, 5 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift unit clerk, and 1 EMT.
• Night shift staffed with 4 RNs, 1 charge nurse, and 1 EMT.
• Patient ratios of 4:1, increasing to 5:1 during surge.
• Uses GE monitors for patient monitoring.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• 13-week assignment with a 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM shift schedule.
• Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity ED setting.
• Join a tight-knit team known for high patient satisfaction scores and quick turnaround times.
• Ideal candidates are caring, competent, and willing to go above and beyond.
• Strong communication skills valued within a collaborative team environment.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered.
