Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced ER RN for a trauma-level Emergency Department position in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of ER experience and an active DC RN license. Cerner EMR experience is required.

The role involves night shifts (3x12-hour), fast-paced trauma care, and rapid onboarding with on-site work within 50 miles of the facility. BSN is preferred and onsite credentialing will be completed quickly.

Qualifications

• Active DC RN license with no pending licenses
• Minimum 3 years ER experience
• Graduate of accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner charting experience required
• Current national background screen, license verification, and certifications documentation for onboarding

Responsibilities

• Care for fast-paced ED patients including urgent care, psych, pediatric and critical care/trauma
• Bedside trauma RN in trauma room with 1:5 patient ratios
• Manage critical care tasks: medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion, chest tubes
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Coordinate and deliver complex nursing care to ensure patient safety and quality
• Must start within 7 days of offer with no delayed start
• Rapid onboarding process
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius accepted
• Two supervisor references preferred (one from most recent employer)
