Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring recent Level I/II or III/IV trauma center experience and telemetry proficiency.
Details
- Work in a very busy Adult Emergency Department treating 350-440 patients per day across up to 120 treatment areas
- Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
- Night shift schedule of 12hr shifts, 7p-7:30a, 48 hours per week
- Work 2 weekends within a 4 week schedule period
- Every other holiday required
- 36hr contracts will be considered but 48hr is preferred
- Must be flexible to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients ages 15+ in pediatric unit unless previous pediatric experience)
- Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during this assignment
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
- Must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
- Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
- EPIC experience preferred
- Critical care experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care in a high-volume adult ED setting
- Assignment length is 18 weeks and candidates must be able to stay through the end date
- Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be considered local and paid at a local rate

- Pay: $3,202/wk
- Assignment Total (18 Weeks): $57,637
- Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks): $166,506
- Weekly Wages: $1,263/wk
- Regular Hours: $22.00 x 40 hours/wk = $880
- OT Hours: $47.88 x 8 hours/wk = $383
- Weekly Stipends: $1,939/wk
- Lodging: $209.00 x 7 days = $1,463
- Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 x 7 days = $476
- In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,944 - $3,202. The $3,202 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
