Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department travel position in New Jersey. Requires NJ or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED or critical care/cardiac experience.

You will work 12-hour PM shifts, 7p-7a, 3 days per week, with some holidays and occasional floating to a nearby sister hospital. EPIC EMR is used, and local candidates are encouraged to apply. Benefits include high pay and bonuses, medical/dental/vision insurance with Day 1 options, 401(k), weekly

Qualifications

• Active NJ or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS required only for pediatric ER assignments.
• Minimum 1 year of ED/critical care/cardiac experience.
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Competent assessment skills across all ages.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital.
• PM shift schedule, 7p-7a.
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly.
• Must be able to work some upcoming holidays.
• Floating as needed, including to a nearby sister hospital.
• No on-call requirements.
• EPIC EMR charting used.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
• Deliver direct patient care and knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of nursing care and patient progress.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals including HIPAA compliance.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Promote patient- and family-centered care environment.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to prioritize care.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Local candidates accepted.
• Travelers may stay up to one year from start date.

• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
• Collaborate with the patient care team to prioritize care based on patient needs and condition changes
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and instructions
• Local candidates accepted
• Travelers may stay on assignment up to one year from the initial start date before requiring a break prior to a new assignment
