Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position in New Jersey. Requires 3-5 years ER nursing experience and an active NJ state license or compact license. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Night shifts: three 12-hour shifts weekly from 19:00 to 07:30 with weekend shifts. Travelers welcome; generous housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and non-taxed per diem.

Qualifications

• Active NJ state or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• 3-5 years of ER nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a general Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients.
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 7:30.
• Weekend shifts required.
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response responsibilities including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Provide emergency nursing care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population.
• Must complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
• Orientation modules completed onsite, averaging 4-6 hours for RNs.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered.
• Former staff must wait at least one year before returning as a traveler.
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation.

Requirements

• Active NJ state or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• 3-5 years of ER nursing experience required
• Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required
• Epic charting experience preferred
