Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ER RN to join a community hospital emergency department in Texas. Licensure must be TX or compact, with Epic charting experience and at least two years in ER nursing.

Certifications ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS are required; TNCC preferred. The role covers a general ED with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and a 3x12 hour day shift. Ideal candidates have trauma care experience, dysrhythmia management skills, and proficiency in PPE and triage.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years ER nursing experience required.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Epic charting system required
• Community hospital setting
• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of medical, surgical, psychiatric, and trauma presentations
• Facility is STEMI and Stroke certified
• Perform triage, splinting, and orthopedic trauma care as needed
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request approved during Nov-Jan holiday season, subject to management approval prior to contract signing
• Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required


• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required


• Community hospital experience required


• Epic charting experience required

• Skilled in emergency care across pediatrics, psychiatric, IV therapy, respiratory, neurological, and cardiac monitoring


• Experience with trauma care including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputation preferred


• Experience with EKG/ECG interpretation and dysrhythmia management


• Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE


• State-issued ID required prior to consideration


• SSN and DOB required for consideration
