Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department travel assignment in Georgia. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of ER experience, prior travel nursing, and GA or Compact RN licensure. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS; NIHSS preferred.

The position involves 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a 1:4 nurse-patient ratio across 46 rooms and an average daily census of 135. Navy blue scrubs are required.

Qualifications

• GA or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years ER experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NIHSS preferred.
• Experience with respiratory care and ventilated patients.
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills.
• Central line care/management experience.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management.
• Isolation precautions/PPE and triage preferred.
• IV vasopressor administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Treats combined adult and pediatric ER patients; infants to geriatrics.
• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Nurse-patient ratio 1:4 across 46 rooms; average census 135.
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR charting/communication systems.
• Every other weekend required unless specified.
• Floating to sister campus possible.
• No on-call requirements.
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient acuities and ages.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Holiday coverage per facility policy.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience, prior travel experience, and GA or compact RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required
• Central line care/management experience required
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage preferred
• IV vasopressor medication administration experience

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients, infants through geriatrics
• 12-hour night shifts (3x12), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across 46 rooms with an average daily census of 135
• Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR charting/communication systems
• Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
• Floating required, possibly to a sister campus
• No on-call requirements
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient acuities and age groups
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required per facility policy based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former Piedmont permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers previously cancelled or deemed not returnable to a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside of Piedmont before reapplying
