Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Emergency Department Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of ED experience and prior travel nursing assignments for a day shift contract in Indiana.

The role involves providing high-quality emergency care to both adult and pediatric patients, potentially across two facilities, with required ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications and a focus on patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Active IN or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Preferred: NIHSS, TNCC.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and pediatric ED patients.
• Work across two facility locations as needed.
• Provide emergency care during day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM).
• Complete charting and documentation (Meditech experience preferred).
• Assist with fast-paced ED operations and patient flow.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN with at least 2 years of ED experience and prior travel assignment experience for a day shift contract.

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
• Experience managing ventilated patients and administering emergency medications
• Experience with IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation preferred
• Experience managing CVA, psychiatric holds, drug overdose, and violent behavior patients
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and triage
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and splinting/orthopedic care
• Reference required from direct supervisor within the last 12 months

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• May work across two facility locations
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Travel pairs accepted, but must have flexible scheduling
• Provide emergency care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Past permanent employees of the facility will not be accepted as travelers, no exceptions
• Candidates must complete required lab work within 24 hours of signing
