Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Emergency Department RN for a combined adult/pediatric ED at a Level II Trauma Center. CT or Compact RN license and TNCC certification are required.

This traveler role features 3x12 night shifts (19:00–07:30), floating as needed, and eligibility for housing and licensure reimbursement. COVID/flu vaccination is required unless exempt; candidates outside a 75-mile radius are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license CT or Compact is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required.
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.
  • Experience managing dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring.
  • Central line care and IV starting/maintenance.
  • Vasopressor administration experience.
  • Ventilator care including CPAP/BiPAP management.
  • Infection control precautions and PPE usage.
  • Triage experience.
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration.
  • Travelers must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Treat combined adult and pediatric ED patients.
  • Night shift on 3x12 hour schedule (19:00–07:30).
  • Work at a 426-bed Level II Trauma Center.
  • Occasional weekend work required (every other weekend).
  • Floating to other areas as needed.
  • Utilize EPIC for documentation.
  • Provide emergent nursing care for dysrhythmias, respiratory compromise, and vasopressor-dependent patients.
  • Participate in triage and infection control processes.
  • Assist with isolation protocols and vaccine requirements.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a combined adult/pediatric ER at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring CT/compact RN license and TNCC certification.

Requirements
  • Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC

  • Central line care/management and IV starting/maintenance skills required
  • IV vasopressor medication experience required
  • Respiratory skills required including CPAP/BiPAP management and care of ventilated patients
  • Isolation precautions/PPE and triage experience required
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
  • Must be gone 2 years to be considered as a traveler if previously employed at the health system
Responsibilities
  • General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730)
  • Short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, Level II Trauma Center
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Floating required as needed
  • EPIC charting system used
  • Provide emergency nursing care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population
  • Manage patients with dysrhythmias, respiratory compromise, and those requiring vasopressor support
  • Participate in triage and infection control protocols
  • RTO requests up to 7 days can be auto-approved
  • Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
  • COVID vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption applies
  • Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside 75-mile radius of the facility
