American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment in GA. Requires a GA or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years in ER, with certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.

Onsite certifications EBRR/GSCC may be completed, with Epic EMR experience required. Typical duties include treating adult and pediatric patients, triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and isolation precautions.

Formación

• Experience with respiratory care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration.
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Level I/II Trauma Center experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Treat a combined adult/pediatric patient population in the Emergency Department.
• Provide triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and isolation precautions.
• Perform chest pain/HTN/diabetes/CHF/ERD diagnoses and manage related care.
• Night shift: 3x12 hour shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) with every-other weekend.
• Provide patient care across the facility with floating as needed.
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting and documentation.
• Manage psychiatric patients and de-escalate behavior as needed.
• Support shift with holiday coverage as required.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a GA or compact license and at least 2 years of ER experience for a night shift assignment.

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• EBRR and GSCC certifications required, may be completed onsite
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with respiratory care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration required
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
• Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Central line care/management and continuous IV sedation experience preferred
• No prior travel experience required

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting treating a combined adult/pediatric patient population
• Diagnoses include HTN, Diabetes, CHF, ESRD, CAD, abdominal pain, STEMI/NSTEMI, PE, COPD, and behavioral health cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Epic charting system experience required
• Provide emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Manage psychiatric patients and de-escalate violent behavior as needed
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center and STEMI-certified facility experience preferred
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized at time of consideration
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be separated from the facility for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Returning travelers who were previously cancelled or not approved to return must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before reapplying
