Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift at a Level II Trauma Center. Requires 2+ years ER experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Must hold active CA RN license and be able to work 3x12-hour night shifts with a 1:4 patient ratio in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital. Facility offers housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MAB, and NIHSS.
• CCRN, CPI, and TNCC certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Level II Trauma Center experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though strong ER experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma Center.
• 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Weekend shifts required.
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Uses Cerner charting system.
• Provide emergency care including trauma response, cardiac monitoring, and respiratory management.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MAB, and NIHSS
• CCRN, CPI, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in management of dysrhythmias, IV therapy, and phlebotomy
• Experience with central line care and management
• Knowledge of IV vasopressor medications
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Proficient in isolation precautions and PPE use
• Triage experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, though candidates with strong experience will be considered

Responsibilities

• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
• Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-6 hours depending on specialty
• Free parking available on-site
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a travel employee
• First-time travelers are accepted, though strong ER experience preferred if lacking travel background
