American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Float Pool in California. The role requires a CA RN license in-hand, BLS/ACLS/PALS, CPI Blue Card, and prior travel nursing experience.

You will cover ED at Orange and Irvine campuses with 3x12-hour day shifts on a 13-week assignment, providing care across trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and pediatric cases. Responsibilities include 12-lead EKG, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation monitoring, with teaching-hospital

Qualifikationen

• Active CA RN license in-hand at time of application (EMS A not accepted).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI Blue Card certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience; minimum 1 year in acute care.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Epic EMR experience documented in work history.
• Two supervisor references required at time of application.

Aufgaben

• Treat mixed adult/pediatric patients in General ED.
• Day shift 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts.
• 13-week assignment length.

• Perform 12-lead EKG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and sedation monitoring.
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred.
• Local candidates accepted at travel rates.
• Former permanent staff must be separated 1 year to return as traveler.
• RTO up to 7 days per 13-week contract preferred; no RTO in first two weeks.
• Interviews with manager not guaranteed; proceed without interview.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ER Float Pool position requiring a CPI Blue Card and prior travel nursing experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute (MAB or online CPI Blue not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Specialty unit candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in that specialty within the past 2 years
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Experience with emergency department conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE required

Responsibilities

• ED Float Pool covering Orange and Irvine campuses
• General Emergency Department treating combined adult/pediatric patients
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, psychiatric crises, and pediatric emergencies
• Perform skills such as 12-lead EKG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Interviews with the manager are not guaranteed and candidates must be comfortable proceeding without one
