Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Los Angeles, CA. A CA RN license and BSN are required, plus prior travel nursing experience and current ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications. EPIC EMR experience is essential and pediatric care capability is required.

The role features a 3x12 night shift (19:00–07:30), a 1:4 patient ratio, and 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks. Travel perks include housing allowance and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and prior travel assignment experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
• BSN required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Comfort treating pediatric patients required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Trauma Level I/II and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Emergency Department setting with pediatric and adult patients
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Availability for 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule required
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Provide emergency care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, and ventilator patient care
• Skilled in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Navy blue scrubs provided
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or employees must complete a 12-month separation and clearance before reapplying
• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible
• Requested time off must be submitted with initial profile and kept under 7 days per assignment when possible
