Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Los Angeles. CA RN license, BSN, and travel nursing experience required; ACLS, BLS, and PALS certs mandatory.

You will work in a high-acuity ED at an academic medical center with a 1:4 patient ratio, night shifts 19:00–07:30, and four weekend shifts per four weeks. Epic EMR is used.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Dept experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Comfortable managing pediatric patients
• Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-acuity Emergency Department at an academic medical center
• Pediatric and adult patient population, including trauma cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Requires availability for 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide emergency nursing care across adult and pediatric trauma and acute cases
• Charge experience preferred
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

• Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
• BSN required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Dept experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Comfortable managing pediatric patients
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, IV sedation, vasopressors, and ventilator/respiratory care
• Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE

Responsibilities

• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible
