Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a General Emergency Department assignment. Requires MD/Compact licensure, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS and PALS; Cerner charting experience is mandatory.

ENPC/TNCC are preferred. Travel nurses must have at least one prior travel assignment and 2+ years of ED experience, ideally 3+. The role is night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12s, with every-other-weekend and holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• ENPC and TNCC certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years ED experience, 3+ preferred.
• Cerner charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Treats adult and pediatric ED patients, including critical cases.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12 hours.
• Every other weekend and holiday required.
• Uses Cerner EMR for documentation.
• Provide emergency nursing care; charge-nurse experience preferred.
• Travel requirements and local 60-mile pay considerations apply.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a General Emergency Department position requiring MD/compact licensure and Cerner charting experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• ENPC and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ED experience within the last 7 years required, 3+ years preferred
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, emergency medications, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, and care of ventilated patients preferred
• Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE and triage required

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Provide emergency nursing care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Nurses with prior employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
