Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Wisconsin. The role requires 2+ years of ED experience with adult and pediatric populations and a WI or compact RN license. Certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS are required, with NIHSS/TNCC preferred.

The position features night shifts (3x12-hour, 18:30–07:00), a weekend rotation, and travel-friendly benefits. Cerner charting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Must reside within 50 miles of facility; local candidates not accepted

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of adult and pediatric ED experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
• 5+ years of ED experience preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% or higher overall passing score
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and 12-lead EKG/ECG required
• Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management preferred
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required
• Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE and triage required

• Weekend rotation and every other holiday required
• Floating required as needed
• Cerner charting system preferred experience
• Provide emergency care for a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted

• Travel experience not required, making this position open to first-time travelers
