Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Massachusetts. Requires an active MA RN license (compact not accepted) and at least 2 years of ED experience, plus BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications.

You must have your own vehicle and an ER skills checklist with supervisory reference current within 12 months. The role features 12-hour shifts 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 36 hours weekly, with every other weekend and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license in hand prior to consideration (compact license not accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience.
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion.
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC.
• Must have own vehicle for assignment.
• ER skills checklist and supervisory reference current within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department within a full-service medical center.
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Provide emergency nursing care within a 298-bed teaching hospital recognized for patient safety excellence
• Must work two full holiday blocks scheduled, including Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year’s Eve through the following weekend
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted for the duration of the assignment
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted per dress code
• Includes 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
