Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department travel position in Wisconsin, requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities include caring for adult and pediatric patients in a Level I/II Trauma Center, working evenings and nights, weekends and holidays, with telemetry and Epic charting. Applicants must hold WI license or Compact, current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC, and have 2+ years ED experience plus travel experience.

Qualifications

• Active WI RN license or Compact license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years.
• Epic EMR experience required, within past 12 months preferred.
• 40+ bed ED experience preferred.
• Level II Trauma Center experience required, Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• At least 1 prior travel assignment (minimum 6 months) required, extensions highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Combined adult and pediatric emergency department in a Level I/II Trauma Center.
• Evening (1500-0330) and Night (1900-0730) shifts, 12s and 8s as needed.
• Weekend and holiday rotation required.
• Floating required as needed.
• Utilizes Epic charting system.
• Care for high-acuity ED patients including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases.
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria (adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation) prior to starting.
• Up to two attempts allowed for telemetry exam; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course.
• Located at a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized teaching hospital and referral center.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
