Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Emergency Department RN with an active MA RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience. The position will float between the Leominster and Clinton campuses in Massachusetts.

The successful candidate will work a 3x12 hour day shift from 7:00 to 19:30, with every other weekend and holiday. Strong triage skills, telemetry competency, and Epic charting experience are required or preferred, and travel within a two-campus system is expected.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Epic charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting with a psych holding area.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30).
• Every other weekend and holiday required.
• Floats between Leominster and Clinton campuses.
• Must have flexibility to start 4 hours earlier or later than scheduled shift based on department need.
• Union facility requiring availability to work all 7 days of the week.
• Seeking a well-rounded ED nurse comfortable managing a psych holding area.

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Dept nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Strong triage skills required
• Must pass a telemetry competency test (80% passing score, one attempt) and a medication exam during orientation

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting with a psych holding area
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Epic for charting
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30)
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• Floats between Leominster and Clinton campuses

• No block schedules accommodated
• Union facility requiring availability to work all 7 days of the week
• Seeking a well-rounded ED nurse comfortable managing a psych holding area
• Scheduling is based on unit needs with no special accommodations
• Return staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• RNs must reside within a 200-mile radius
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience
