Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week assignment in Massachusetts. Applicants must hold an active MA RN license and have at least 2 years of ER experience, with BLS and ACLS certifications.

ER nursing skills including cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and trauma care are required. This travel opportunity features a 3x12 hour day schedule, 36 hours per week, and comprehensive benefits including housing allowance and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years ER experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• ENPC, MOAB, NRP, TNCC, and PALS certifications preferred.
• Meditech charting experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience with emergency and trauma care including pediatric and adult patients required.
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management required.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration required.
• Proficiency in triage and PPE/isolation precautions required.

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department caring for combined adult/pediatric population.
• Level II Trauma Center setting.
• Target patient ratio of 1:2.
• Day shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• 36 hours per week.
• Every third weekend required.
• No call requirements.
• No floating requirements.
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Meditech Expanse documentation system.
• Provide emergency care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, respiratory, cardiac, and psychiatric emergencies.
• Collaborate with the care team to manage critical and multisystem patient needs.
• Scrubs of any color permitted.
• Some holiday coverage expected.
• Minimize time-off requests, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks off.
• First-time travelers with strong ER experience will be considered.
• Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate.
• Candidates must live within a 30-mile radius of the facility.
