Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Night Shift RN for a Level III Emergency Department in New Hampshire. The role requires at least 2 years of ED experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and a travel background, with EPIC EMR proficiency.

Shifts are 12 hours (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), 36 hours weekly, with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Travel pairs may be considered, and housing/travel reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active NH RN license or compact license in-hand prior to consideration.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least 3 months.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Must be comfortable managing drips and ventilators.
• Must have own vehicle for transportation to the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Care in Level III Trauma ED with 20 beds and 26,000 visits yearly.
• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 36 hours per week.
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5; collaborate with pre-hospital and hospital teams.
• Travelers may be paired if shifts differ and transportation is provided.
• Provide lifespan care from infancy to geriatric with age-appropriate tailoring.

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Level III Emergency Department position requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and prior travel assignment history.

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or compact license required in-hand prior to consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least 3 months required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Must be comfortable managing drips and ventilators
• Must have own vehicle for transportation to the hospital
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to stressful situations

Responsibilities

• Level III Trauma Emergency Department with 20 beds and over 26,000 visits per year
• Newly renovated unit with state of the art monitors and communication devices
• Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5
• EMR: EPIC
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
• No scheduled on-call, call only during low census periods
• Travel pairs considered if able to work different shifts and provide own transportation to the hospital
• Provide nursing care across the lifespan from infancy through geriatric patients, individualizing care based on age-related growth and development
• Work collaboratively with pre-hospital, emergency department, and in-hospital teams including first responders, ambulance crews, paramedics, and trauma surgeons
• Traveler must provide own professional scrubs with no logos
• Holiday blackout periods apply, requiring work during two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• All requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload, with a maximum of 5 days accepted
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered
• Schedule accommodation requests, including block scheduling, will not be approved after offer or interview
