Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift. Requires at least 1 year ED experience and multiple specialty certifications. Must have CO or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI Blue card, and Meditech experience.

Night schedule 7p-7a with a 18-bed ED unit, 4:1 patient ratio, and travel housing options. Eligibility includes SSN and DOB; reference required. Large hospital setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year current acute care ED RN experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC.
• CPI Blue card required.
• Prior Meditech experience preferred.
• Experience in a large hospital setting preferred.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration.
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Staff 18-bed ED unit with 3-5 RNs per shift.
• Patient ratios vary by acuity, typically 4:1.
• Uses LifePak, Lucas, Philips, and GE equipment.
• Meditech EMR used.
• Night shift schedule from 7p-7a.
• Perform IV starts, EKGs, foley, splinting, wound care, meds, and assessments.
• Freestanding ED to hospital-based ED with expanded resources.
• Strong teamwork and positive culture.

Responsibilities

• 18-bed Emergency Room unit staffed with 3-5 RNs per shift
• Patient ratios vary by acuity, typically 4:1
• Uses LifePak, Lucas, Philips, and GE equipment
• Meditech EMR used
• Night shift schedule from 7p-7a
• Typical procedures include IV starts, EKGs, foley catheters, splinting, wound care, wound infiltration, medication administration, and assessments
• Freestanding ED converted to hospital-based ED with expanded resources including respiratory therapy, house supervisor, full lab services, and on-site radiology (CT, MRI, Echo, X-ray, US)
• Seasoned, team-oriented unit with a positive culture and strong teamwork
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
