American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with Level I trauma experience for a 13-week day shift assignment in North Carolina. Requires NC or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIHSS/CPI, and Epic charting experience.

The role demands 2+ years ED experience, travel background, and Supervisory reference. Flu vaccination is mandatory. Typical shifts are 7:00am–7:30pm, with every other weekend and orientation reviews.

Qualifikationen

• Active NC or Compact RN license in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI (in hand or willing to obtain during compliance)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• Level I trauma experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel experience with ED exposure
• One supervisory reference from within the last year required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted

Aufgaben

• Treat a combined adult and pediatric ED patient population
• Work in a STEMI and stroke certified facility
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00am-7:30pm
• Work every other weekend; no on-call requirements
• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of conditions
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG and rhythm management
• Manage patients with stroke, trauma, overdose, multisystem dysfunction
• Adhere to hospital scrub code (royal blue scrubs)
• Orientation bi-weekly; pass EKG/Telemetry exam onsite

• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel experience required, with prior ED experience
• One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Non-trauma emergency department at a STEMI and stroke certified facility
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00am-7:30pm
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• Will be required to pass an EKG/Telemetry exam onsite during orientation
• Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of conditions including pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, trauma, cardiac, neurological, and respiratory cases
• Perform skills such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, overdose, and multisystem organ dysfunction is valued
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within a 75-mile radius
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have worked there within the last 6 months
• RTO must be limited to 5-7 days maximum
