American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in North Carolina. Requires NC or compact RN licensure, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS/PALS, and 2+ years ER experience, with Level I trauma preferred.

Role includes night shifts (40h/wk), 1:4 patient ratio, Epic EMR use, and travel-oriented requirements. Travel experience and vaccine compliance are needed.

Qualifications

• Active NC or Compact RN license in hand.
• Two years of ER experience required.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department serving a combined adult/pediatric population within a Level I Trauma Center.
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Night shift schedule: 2x12s (7p-7a) and 2x8s (7p-3a) totaling 40 hours.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Floating within scope of training.
• Provide emergency care across trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases.
• Triage, PPE/isolation precautions, and dysrhythmia management.
• Biweekly orientation schedule.
• Royal blue scrubs required.
• Local candidates within 75 miles at reduced rate.
• No first-time travelers.
• If previously employed, not in last 6 months.
• RTO 5-7 days max.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring NC or compact RN licensure and prior Level I trauma experience.

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, Vistelar
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in managing pediatric and psychiatric emergencies, IV therapy, respiratory support, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with emergency medications, procedural sedation, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Must be able to obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG and manage dysrhythmias
• Must be able to apply splints and manage isolation precautions/PPE
• Must pass onsite EKG/Telemetry exam during orientation
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions or declinations accepted

• Biweekly orientation schedule
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have worked there within the last 6 months
• RTO requests limited to 5-7 days maximum
