Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department travel assignment in North Carolina. Requires 2+ years of ED experience, active NC or compact RN license, and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.

Epic EMR experience is required. Night shifts 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with 1:5 patient ratio and travel housing support. Must be willing to float to Cone Health campuses as needed, adhere to onboarding EKG exams, and complete orientation modules.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in the Emergency Department.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, and starting IVs required.
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring required.
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients required.
• Triage experience required.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma Emergency Department.
• 1:5 patient ratios.
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Minimum of 8 weekend shifts per contract required, plus holidays as needed.
• Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Provide emergency care to a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma patient population.
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding, with two attempts allowed.
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 2-4 hours, completed during orientation.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply.
• RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted.
