Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in North Carolina. This 13-week travel contract requires NC or Compact licensure, Level I Trauma Center background, and Epic EMR experience.

The role demands 3x12 hour day shifts, patient ratios of 1:4, and a schedule including every other weekend. First-time travelers are not considered; local candidates within 75 miles receive a reduced rate.

Qualifications

• RN license NC or Compact in hand at time of consideration.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI (in hand or willing to obtain during compliance).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required.
• Level I Trauma Center experience required.
• Prior travel experience with ED background required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration.
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department, combined adult/pediatric population.
• 13-week contract, day shift, 11:00-23:30.
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• Required to work every other weekend.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Will be required to pass an EKG/Telemetry exam onsite.
• Care for emergency patients in a high-acuity, combined adult/pediatric ED setting.
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly.
• Royal blue scrubs required.
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate.
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have worked there within the past 6 months.
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration, limited to 5-7 days maximum.
