Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER nurse for a high-volume Emergency Department in South Carolina. The role requires a SC or compact RN license and 2+ years of ER experience. You will work a day shift (3x12s) in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital with STEMI and stroke certification.

Responsibilities include triage, EKGs, splinting, and PPE. Meditech EMR is used for charting. Housing allowances, travel reimbursements, and day-one benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, major teaching hospital Emergency Department.
• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patient populations.
• STEMI and Stroke certified facility.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM).
• Uses Meditech EMR for charting.
• High patient-to-caregiver ratios with frequent floating within the hospital.
• Holiday and weekend coverage required in rotation with staff.
• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac events, psychiatric emergencies, and pediatric cases.
• Perform skills such as 12-lead EKG acquisition, splinting, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE use.
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility and local candidates are not accepted for this assignment.
• Minimal to no requested time off will be approved unless discussed and approved prior to assignment start.
• Previous staff must have been separated for at least 1 year and in good standing to be considered for return.
• Scrub color required is royal blue/white
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
