Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ER RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center in Arizona. This travel assignment requires recent ER/trauma practice and multiple advanced certifications.

The ideal candidate holds an AZ or Compact RN license, 2+ years of Level 1 ER/trauma experience, and relevant BLS/ACLS/PALS (or ENPC) plus ATCN/TNCC certifications. You will work in a 60-bed ED with 1:3-4 patient ratios and Cerner EMR.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years ER/Trauma Level 1 experience in the past year.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and ATCN or TNCC certifications required.
• Moderate conscious sedation competency required.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (maximum 2 attempts).
• Must pass a sterile technique skills lab on day 1 of orientation (maximum 2 attempts).
• Copy of driver�s license required for consideration.
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Responsibilities

• Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department in an acute care hospital setting.
• 60-bed unit including 14 fast track beds with bedside triage.
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Chest pain center and certified stroke center treating trauma, MVAs, GSW, blunt/piercing trauma, CVA, MI, high-risk OB, and psychiatric holds.
• 11% pediatric population; patients under 15 are stabilized and transferred.
• Approximately 80,000 ER visits per year.
• Charge Nurse and Unit Secretary support on every shift.
• Paramedics and CNAs assist with IV starts, discharges, and tech duties.
• 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy support, with an ER Pharmacist available 5 days/week
