American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week evening shift in Missouri. Requires MO or Compact RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience. The role features 3x12 hour evenings (2:00 PM–2:00 AM), 1:4 patient ratio, and opportunities to float to other departments within scope.

Qualifications

• Active RN license MO or Compact required at time of consideration.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and SAFE certifications required; NRP and TNCC preferred
• Minimum of 2 years ER experience; community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred; strong triage and PPE knowledge

Responsabilités

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients in a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• Evening shift schedule, 3x12 hours (2:00 PM - 2:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• May float to other departments as Helping Hands or take patient assignments within scope and competency
• Meditech charting system used
• Provide emergency care across adult and pediatric populations, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and trauma cases
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Minimize RTO requests, with no calendar week off preferred during the assignment; any RTO must be approved before start and documented
• Expect to work some holidays
• Local candidates not accepted
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius with no exceptions
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with MO or Compact RN licensure and a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience for a 13-week evening shift assignment.

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and SAFE (provided at facility); NRP and TNCC preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
• Skilled in IV therapy and phlebotomy, including arterial line and central line management and blood product administration
• Skilled in respiratory care including intubation assistance, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, chest tube management, and ABG interpretation
• Skilled in medication administration including IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Skilled in neurological care including CVA, ICP monitoring, and traumatic brain/spinal cord injury management
• Skilled in shock/trauma care including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Skilled in orthopedic care including splinting and ortho trauma management
• Skilled in pediatric and psychiatric emergency care, including management of violent behavior and suicidal patients
• Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
