Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Indiana. Requires IN or Compact RN licensure and at least 3 years of ER experience. EPIC EMR experience preferred; nursing duties include treating patients across the lifespan in a 32-bed ED.

Shift pattern is three 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM), every other weekend, with no on-call and no floating. Navy scrubs and onboarding modules are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (TNCC preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience required.
• Trauma care experience across the lifespan preferred.
• EKG testing required for consideration.
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting with 32 beds.
• Patient ratios of 1:4 standard, higher for low acuity patients.
• Treats medical, injured, and mental health patients across the lifespan.
• Uses Level I fluid warmer equipment.
• Epic EMR.
• Mid-shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM).
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• No floating required.
• Provide emergency care to patients across the lifespan including medical, injured, and mental health cases.
• Team player personality fit preferred.
• Navy scrub color required, following facility dress code.
• Assigned onboarding education modules must be completed prior to first day.
• Report to hospital through South Entrance.
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a reduced bill rate.
