Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring ACLS and BLS certification and experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.

Day shift 4x10 hours (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) with on-call duties, located in a short-term acute care teaching hospital. The role includes strict policies on nicotine use and vaccines, with specific orientation assessments and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Active FL RN license required
• AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certification required
• Minimum of 18 months RN experience required, 2 years preferred
• 1 year combined permanent experience in Cath Lab specialty required
• One professional reference from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the applicable specialty required
• No pending licenses or certifications accepted

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Performs diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Administers and monitors procedural sedation
• Interprets and manages dysrhythmias
• EPIC charting system used
• Located in a short-term acute care teaching hospital with 332 staffed beds
• Ceil blue scrub color required
• Smoke-free facility requiring nicotine-free status, verified by a negative 10-panel drug screen plus cotinine test
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• EKG and pharmacology tests required during orientation, with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation
• Required to work every other holiday
• All RTO must be discussed during interview and submitted upfront, as late requests are unlikely to be approved
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent or per diem employees cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their last end date
