Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Cath Lab RN for a teaching hospital in Florida. Requires 2+ years in cath labs, ACLS/BLS, and travel nursing background. Must hold FL or compact RN license and be willing to work in a fast-paced interventional lab.

Role involves circulating and scrubbing for cardiac/vascular procedures, high-risk PCI, and TAVR workups with Cerner charting. Travel-ready candidates receive housing support and competitive pay.

Qualifications

Active FL or Compact RN license required.
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required.
Prior travel nursing experience required.
Cerner charting experience preferred.
Circulate and conscious sedation administration/monitoring skills required.
Experience with cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, and rotablator atherectomy required.
Scrub procedure experience preferred.
Experience with carotid stenting and upper/lower extremity angiography required.
COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted.
Date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

Work in a teaching hospital's Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab.
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Treats patients with coronary disease, peripheral vascular disease, valvular disease, STEMI/NSTEMI, and USA diagnoses.
Performs cardiac catheterizations, high risk PCI, peripheral interventions, carotid stents, and TAVR/Mitraclip work-ups.
Utilizes specialized equipment including Impella, Shockwave, Rotoblator, CSI, IABP, and Laser.
Uses Cerner EMR for charting.
On-call responsibilities required as needed.
No weekend requirement; floating to nearby affiliate hospital may be needed.
Circulating and scrubbing for cardiac and vascular procedures; administers and monitors procedural sedation.
Royal blue scrub color required.

No floating required outside of assigned hospital, though willingness to float to a nearby affiliate hospital is expected

No RTO accommodations available during the contract
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
Pass/fail EKG exam required as part of start requirements
