Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week travel assignment in South Carolina. Must hold active SC or compact RN licensure with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities include working in the Cardiac Cath Lab, flexible float duties, charting in Cerner EMR, patient assessments, and collaboration with the medical team. Lodging, travel reimbursements, and licensure support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact multi-state RN license
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification
• ACLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited school or college of nursing
• BSN highly desired

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department of a hospital setting
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with call requirements discussed during interview
• May float to cover Cath Lab/EP and occasionally TEE/CVs for intra-procedure duties such as timeout documentation, procedure tracking, and circulating
• Ability to scrub is a bonus but not required
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting
• May float to a sister hospital nearby
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, socio-cultural, spiritual, and cognitive needs
• Plan, prioritize, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with patients and families
• Provide patient and family education and evaluate teaching effectiveness
• Act as a patient advocate and respond appropriately to ethical issues in care delivery
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver patient care
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, core measures, and patient safety initiatives
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning
• Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screen results through a required vendor
