American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in South Carolina. The role requires 2+ years of Cath/EP experience and a SC or compact RN license in hand. BLS/ACLS certifications are required, with hospital-based responsibilities in diagnostic Cath Lab and EP settings.

The position involves 1:1 patient care, rotating 4x10hr days, and weekend call obligations. Epic EMR is used, with housing and travel support available for travelers.

Qualifications

Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start.
BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required.
Community hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Work in the Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab within an acute care hospital.
1:1 patient care; rotating 4x10hr day shifts (7:00-17:30, 9:30-20:00).
Weekend call: one weekend per month (Fri/Sat/Sun) plus one weekday shift.
Perform circulating duties and manage dysrhythmias during procedures.
Utilize Epic EMR and participate in patient monitoring and sedation.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 2+ years of Cath/EP experience and a SC or compact RN license in hand.

Requirements

Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required
Community hospital experience required
Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations (left and right heart), and Impella insertion
Skilled in circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and procedural sedation monitoring and medication administration
Radiation badge required, must be provided by the agency
Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

Work in the Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab within an acute care hospital
1:1 patient ratio
Rotating 4x10hr day shifts (7:00-17:30 and 9:30-20:00), grouped by week for consistency, with hours extending until procedures are complete
Weekend call required one weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) per month, plus one weekday call shift per week
No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
Epic EMR used
Responsibilities include circulating cardiac cath and EP procedures, monitoring and administering procedural sedation, and managing dysrhythmias
Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs
Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate; MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates
60-mile radius rule applies for local candidate determination
During hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval and is not guaranteed
