American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in South Carolina. Requires SC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of cath lab/EP experience.

Responsibilities include 1:1 patient care in a day shift 4x10 schedule (7:00am-5:30pm) with on-call weekends and potential hurricane-season reassignment. Epic EMR used on site.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring SC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of cath lab/EP experience.

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license in hand prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, and Impella insertion
• Experienced in circulating procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Must provide own radiation badge; facility does not supply one to travelers
• Valid driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting in an acute care hospital
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00am-5:30pm, with variation based on procedure completion
• Weekend call required as part of on-call rotation
• On-call requirement includes one weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) per month and one weekday call shift per week, subject to change based on staffing needs
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
• Uses Epic EMR
• Responsible for administering and monitoring procedural sedation medications during cardiac procedures
• Facility-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
• Free parking available in downtown lots and garages (garage clearance limited to average SUV/truck height)
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be reassigned to emergency response duties
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate; non-local candidates prioritized
• Candidates must live within a 60-mile radius or meet local candidate criteria
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved in advance based on facility needs
• Block scheduling may be requested but requires manager approval and is not guaranteed
