Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP RN for a travel assignment in West Virginia. Requires active WV or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and at least 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience. IR experience is a plus and travel experience is preferred.

You'll work in the Cath Lab across Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings, with 4x10 day shifts or 3x12/4x12 rotations, 1-2 call shifts weekly and 1-2 weekends per month while complying with STEMI response rules.

Qualifications

• Active WV or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP experience required.
• IR experience a plus.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, and Impella insertion.
• Experience with EP procedures such as cardioversion and pacemaker insertion preferred.
• Proficient in sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, and procedural sedation monitoring.
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent residence.
• Flu vaccine required, with medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Setting includes Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Pre/Post Procedure, and Special Procedures areas.
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 7:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday.
• Alternate schedule of 84 hours per two-week pay period on a one-week 3x12, next-week 4x12 rotation.
• 1-2 call shifts per week and 1-2 weekends per month required.
• Float required within scope of practice.
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Scrubs and lead apron provided for cases.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for STEMI call response.
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted.
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered; must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted.
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment.
• Travelers who have completed one year must take a minimum 6-month break before returning.
• Minimal traveler pairs accepted, and pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
