Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab assignment in Kentucky. Requires at least 2 years Cath Lab experience and a KY or compact RN license. Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required; travel nursing experience preferred; IR experience a plus.

This role features 4x10-hour shifts, on-call 1–2 times weekly, and weekend coverage. Candidates must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for STEMI response.

Qualifications

• Active KY or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required.
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• IR experience a plus.
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered.
• Driver's license matching permanent address required for consideration.
• Two professional references required, including one charge or higher and one supervisor reference completed within the last year.
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted (medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case).

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab department of a hospital setting.
• 4x10-hour day shifts scheduled Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:30pm.
• Call required 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends per month.
• Float required within scope of practice.
• Meditech charting system experience preferred.
• Provides scrubs and a lead apron for cases.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for STEMI call response.
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment.
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted.
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after working one year before being eligible to return.
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit.
• Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis.
