American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 2 years of Cath Lab experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

The role involves working in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology, with a 7:00–16:30 day schedule, rotating call, and responsibilities across diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Travel perks and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required.
• Skills include IV starts, circulating, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
• Hemodynamic monitoring and PACS experience preferred.
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology departments including IR holding.
• Day shift schedule: 7:00–16:30, 4x9.5 hour shifts, with occasional 5x8 shifts.
• Care for adult procedural patients pre- and post-care.
• Rotating call for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; 1–2 days per week, every third weekend.
• Call shifts typically involve 1–3 cases per week with 2-hour response time.
• Use Meditech EMR.
• High floating expectations due to high patient-to-caregiver ratios.
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations including PCI.
• Assist with EP procedures such as pacemaker insertion and AICD programming.
• Support IR procedures including vascular, neuro, and genitourinary studies.
• Must reside within 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Background hits or licensure actions will not be considered.
• Previous employees must have been gone for at least 1 year and left in good standing to be eligible for return.
• Floating will occur within the hospital per policy.

• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 4x9.5 hour shifts (7:00-16:30), with occasional 5x8 shifts as needed
• Care for adult patients with a variety of disease processes in a procedural area, including pre and post care
• Rotating call required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, approximately 1-2 days per week and every third weekend
• Call shifts typically involve 1-3 cases per week with a 2-hour response time
• Uses Meditech EMR
• High floating expectations within the hospital due to high patient-to-caregiver ratios
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterizations and PCI
• Assist with electrophysiology procedures such as pacemaker insertion and AICD programming
• Support interventional radiology procedures including vascular, neurological, and genitourinary studies
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates with background hits or licensure actions will not be considered
• Previous employees must have been gone for at least 1 year and left in good standing to be eligible for return
• Expected to work some holidays and weekends on a rotating basis with permanent staffFloating will occur within the hospital in accordance with facility policy and clinical experience
